S T O R Y T H E W H Y A N D W H A T Cincinnati, long regaled as the Queen City, has fallen on hard times. In the wake of a bloody, nearly genocidal, gang war, law enforcement agencies quarrel amongst themselves as former partners Agents Klein and Hound find themselves played against each other. Now they've involved Stoner, a notorious informant, and it may be that all three are in over their heads on the bloodthirsty streets of a midwestern city gone wrong. Taking full advantage of this opportunity, criminal organizations are restoring their death-grip on the city at an astounding rate, and now it looks like a local scenester, Redge, may have finally attracted some long-wanted attention - but it's the wrong kind of attention, as Redge quickly discovers, finding himself targeted by vicious death squads of unknown origin. Things go from bad to worse as the forces of an ancient, pseudo-mystical order of Japanese assassins close in on the city. Led by a deadly, beautiful, woman not afraid to break tradition to restore the honor of the clan, even clashes with an infamous group of mercenaries fail to diminish the devastating power of the Ninja.
